Building Coaching Skills: Three-Day Workshop
At its core, coaching is about fostering growth, development, and problem-solving in your employees. Our three-day skill-building participant-centered workshop is tailored to help both experienced and novice managers master these essential coaching skills through practical application. You’ll leave with the ability to help your employees reach their full potential, and in doing so, drive your team and organization to new heights of success.
Why This Workshop?
We believe in coaching that transforms. This workshop uses a hands-on approach to guide managers through a five-stage coaching model, ensuring immediate application of these techniques. We don’t believe in coaching that is passive—engagement and practice turn theory into action.
The Five Stages of Coaching
In this workshop, you will learn and practice the five key stages of coaching:
- Create a Climate for Coaching: Set the foundation for open communication and trust.
- Identify the Need for Coaching: Recognize coaching opportunities for training, development, or problem-solving.
- Develop a Coaching Plan: Outline actionable steps to achieve desired growth.
- Coach the Employee: Provide real-time education, development, or problem-solving support using the C.O.A.C.H approach (Constructive, Observational, Action-Oriented, Clarifying, and Helpful).
- Evaluate the Coaching Process: Assess progress and fine-tune for continued improvement.
We don’t believe in coaching without follow-up—evaluation ensures the process stays on track.

We don’t believe in unprepared coaches—setting the stage is half the battle.

Day Two: Building Practical Coaching Skills
We believe in skill-building that sticks. Day Two is dedicated to honing your practical coaching techniques. You will:
- Identify real coaching opportunities within your team.
- Practice active listening and delivering constructive feedback.
- Use the C.O.A.C.H. approach to structure feedback sessions.
- Overcome common coaching challenges, including employee defensiveness, through practice scenarios.
We don’t believe in guessing games—coaching with clarity and strategy leads to results.

We believe in practice that prepares. Day Three is where everything comes together. Participants will take turns coaching in real-time coaching simulations. You will:
- Rotate through roles as coach, employee, and observer to get comprehensive experience.
- Deliver coaching sessions while receiving real-time feedback from peers and trainers.
- Be videotaped to review and improve your delivery and technique.
We don’t believe in theory without practice—hands-on experience is the key to becoming an effective coach.

Post-Workshop Application: Real Coaching in the Workplace
After completing the workshop, participants will develop and document two coaching processes with their employees. These will be reviewed by managers to ensure immediate application of the skills learned.
