Reverse Numbering for PowerPoint Slides
This is one more trick from Dan Poynter.
Number the Remaining Slides
Do you ever wonder how many slides are left in your PowerPoint deck? This is something you need to know if you’re going to pace your presentation.
Dan Poynter recommends how to handle this situation.
In the upper left hand corner of your PowerPoint slides, identify the number of slides that are left. This is one way to help pace yourself.
Before this tip, I printed out the slides, six to a page. That way I could look ahead and see how many more slides were left. His tip makes it a lot easier and faster to scan the current slide and see the number. I’ll still print out the slide. This is because I want to see what the remaining slides look like. And I’ll still number the slides the typical way on the bottom right of the slide. This way I can find a slide I need very easily. But I like his tip.
Since I’ve noticed that these recent Tips have generated very little comment, next week we will move on to a much more scintillating topic: getting past embarrassing training moments!
Have you have ever been embarrassed as a trainer and lived to train another day? Please send in your stories and we’ll publish them in the next Tip!
