I just read that “enlighten” means “to educate.” That has either never occurred to me or I once knew it and have since forgotten about it.

I love to think of learning as light.

There are so many ways that education enlightens our students:

  • It lights the way to new options and opportunities,
  • It lightens their burdens of doubt and ignorance,
  • It beams a light on their strengths and abilities,
  • It ignites the light of curiosity and hope within them.

I am so honored to be among the light bearers.
