Workshop Overview

This participant-centered workshop focuses on building your confidence and competence as a presenter. Through hands-on practice and interactive exercises, you’ll gain the skills needed to deliver informative and persuasive presentations in any setting. Here’s what you can expect:

  • Overcome Six Major Speaking Faults: Learn how to identify and avoid the most common mistakes that undermine presentations. Whether it’s tone, body language, or pace, we’ll help you refine your delivery.

  • Seven Presentation Structures: Master seven different ways to organize your presentation for maximum clarity and impact. We believe in structured presentations that flow naturally.

  • Deliver Persuasive Presentations: Organize and present a persuasive message that grabs your audience’s attention and drives your point home. You’ll learn how to engage both hearts and minds with your words.

Day One: Identifying and Overcoming Presentation Challenges

Day One covers the fundamentals of delivering your impactful presentations. You will:

  • Identify key traits of effective presenters that you can emulate.
  • Discuss six common speaking faults and learn how to avoid them.
  • Explore seven methods to organize a presentation, in order to determine a method that suits you.
  • Prepare and deliver a brief persuasive presentation, to develop your skills.
  • Assess effective stand-up presentation techniques, and determine which technique works for you.
  • Deliver an impromptu stand-up presentation, in order to learn from how to improve your presentations.
  • Discuss your expectations and goals for Day Two.

This day emphasizes understanding how to connect with your audience and structure your presentations for maximum impact.

Day Two: Developing and Delivering Persuasive Presentations

On Day Two, you put into practice what you have learned. You will:

  • Practice and assess stand-up techniques for the presentations created on Day One.
  • Develop and deliver a persuasive presentation on a key topic.
  • Present your prepared work to the group.  Consequently you will receive peer review of your presentation.
  • Evaluate your own presentation skills through feedback and video review.

By the end of the workshop, you will have sharpened your ability to deliver both informative and persuasive presentations confidently.
